POLLAVISION was formed to fill the void between the theater owner/operator, equipment supplier and architect. With the popularity of people bringing the cinema experience to their home, we have expanded into the home theater marketplace. We can comfortably work with the owner of the theater, the architect that is defining the space for the theater or the equipment supplier that is providing the equipment in the theater. Since we do not supply any equipment, we can maintain a neutral position as far as equipment selection and room design. Our mission is to provide the best performance, functionality and expertise to meet the budget and requirements of our client.

We stay up-to-date with all new products and draw on a wealth of experience in designing and integrating all aspects of your film, video or digital presentation. Our vast commercial cinema and specialty theater experience gives us an advantage that is not locally available in many markets. We can provide you and your clients with the finest in design of sound systems, acoustics, digital or film projection as well as the ability to provide complete turnkey assistance for new theatres or the renovation of existing theatres or home theaters.

We can provide all engineering drawings, architectural drawings and calculations for all our projects.

Larry Polla – Founder / President

As the founder and President of POLLAVISON I bring over 30 years of creative, technical and business experience to the company. My first engineering job was assisting with the production of live sound recordings of musical groups and sound reinforcement for theatrical productions. I started my first business as a freelance photographer 1975 and was later hired to manage the Marineland of Florida photographic and motion picture film department in 1977. At that time Marineland maintained one of the largest libraries of underwater motion picture films and still photographic collections in the world. In 1978, while employed at Marineland, I assisted with the equipping and furnishing of their new 3-D underwater motion picture theatre. This state of the art theatre was capable of showing every film format and aspect ratio available at that time. In 1980 I joined United Theatre Supply as Vice President of technical services and was responsible for the installation and service of projection and sound equipment.  I left United Theatre Supply in 1985 to start my own theatre equipment company, Hi-Tech Theatre Equipment. Prior to the merger of my company with MegaSystems in 1998, I co-designed and co-patented the MegaSystems dual intermittent large format 870 projector. More than three years of design and development were devoted to producing this totally unique new method of projecting 70mm motion picture film. This development introduced a new quality standard for the 870 large format film industry. My accomplishments also include sound engineering, acoustical engineering, engineering high quality specialty 35mm projection systems, engineering 3D large format projection systems, large digital projections system (Up to 100’ x 40’), and water screen projection. I have been directly responsible for the equipping and engineering over 1500 theatres throughout the world. With the advent of the HOME THEATER market growing I have incorporated my years of theater experience and commercial audio engineering to the home theater market.
